Music and movies have gone hand in hand since the time of silent films, nay, since THEATRE enriched the lives of the civilized where music helped tell a story.  Tonight, we Brightonians are in for a treat, because we not only have a talented musician and writer in our presence, but we have the chance to listen and watch her story.

Sabrina Chap is a Brooklyn-based songwriter, cabaret performer, and author. It’s easy to sum up one’s titles and history into a sentence, but these labels come nowhere near to describing how versatile Chap’s talents and interests really are and tonight she will be making this point very clear.

POSTCARDS FORM NEVERMORE is “a one-woman monologue musical.” Combining visual media consisting of abstract projections and original music written and performed by Sabrina Chap, this “road trip tells the story of two queers who escape a life of violence for Hollywood and heartbreak.” I impatiently count down the hours until the show. And if you’re still trying to figure out how tonight might go down, here’s one of the songs from the show to give you an idea:
