From Friday 28th September Tech-Takeback will be at The Level, taking in your old and un-used gadget in order to recycle, re-use and re-home them.

In an initiative supported by Brighton and Hove City Council, the Tech-Takeback pop up will be at The Level all day, everyday on the weekend beginning September 28th, with the tech savvy team on hand to collect all of your un-used items.

From memory cards to laptops, mobile phones to printers, everything will be accepted, no matter what condition or age. Everything donated will either be up-cycled and returned to it’s former glory or disposed of in an environmentally friendly way, ensuring that no old tech ends up in landfills.

Once those gadgets that still have life in them have been repaired, Tech-Takeback will donate them to charities across the city. So far Sussex Homeless Support Charity, The National Tech4Good Awards, The Bevy Community Pub, Artists at Bloomtown Festival, Brighton Pride HQ and more have benefitted from tech being donated as a result of this scheme.

For those gadgets that truly have reached the end of their days and are beyond repair, the Tech-Takeback team will dismantle the items, and arrange for it to be responsibly recycled. With electronic waste, often referred to as E-waste, currently labelled as the fastest growing rubbish stream in the world, making the effort to ensure you dispose of your old tech responsibly (or even better, getting it repaired!) is now more vital than ever.
