Happy April 1st! Can you believe it’s April already? No me neither it’s quite terrifying how quickly this year is going. Our What’s On this weekend is everything you’ve come to expect; amazing art exhibitions, hilarious comedy shows and so much more to do on this beautiful weekend.
Into the West: Travelling Light introduces a new generation of audiences to this wonderful story, now in its 20th year. ‘Imagine a glorious white horse comes out of a sea-mist and into your troubled life. Imagine trying to keep her on the 14th floor of a Dublin tower block. Now imagine the police are after you, and your only escape is to ride into the West…’
The Jupiter Incident at Gallery 40: ‘The Jupiter Incident’ is the third solo exhibition by Mark Charlton. Inspired by ‘a mid-century optimism of an unknown but enthralling future of galactic discovery’, the exhibition tracks the fictitious journey of ‘The B-12 Module’ as it travels to Pluto. The exhibition is only here until the 6th so this weekend is the perfect time to pop along.

Krater Comedy Club: Steve Shanyaski, Josh Howie and Mick Ferry are at the Komedia this weekend to ensure that you’re laughing into the night.

Folklore, Magic and Mysteries: Modern Witchcraft and Folk Culture in Britain: See Doreen Valiente’s collection of artefacts, manuscripts and documents relating to witchcraft, magic, folklore and Paganism at Preston Manor this weekend. You can read more about this exhibition here.
Craft Keg Fest: Oh yes, it’s a thing. Starting on the 3rd of April, The Park View is showing the best of British breweries. A host of exclusive beers will be an offer and every attendee will receive a reward card – buy six pints and get the seventh free. Genius.
