As London Fashion Week looks at what’s next, Lucy & Yak is celebrating what’s already here.
The socially and environmentally conscious clothing brand is refusing to chase the next trend, instead championing a different approach to fashion – one where individuality, longevity and clothes with a story take centre stage. Rooted in its Be More You ethos, Lucy & Yak is encouraging shoppers to embrace personal style and circularity with The Big PreLoved Sale, taking place from 24th-27th September in-store nationwide.
Celebrating second-hand shopping with communities across the UK, the sale will give customers the opportunity to discover an array of preloved Lucy & Yak pieces at incredible prices, while helping to give much-loved clothes a new lease of life.
Following the success of its first PreLoved Weekender back in May, September’s sale marks a major milestone for the brand’s circular fashion initiative, Re:Yak, which has now officially reached 50,000 pieces of Lucy & Yak clothing rehomed through the scheme.
Across the 4 days, all Lucy & Yak stores will become dedicated PreLoved Hubs, transforming a large proportion of their shop floor into rails filled with preloved stock – items that have been previously loved by someone else and are looking for a new home. Shoppers may even find some one-of-a-kind pieces that have been upcycled and customised by the brand’s Re:Yak Studio team, Cat and Sam, in Yorkshire.
Each day of the sale, every store will also be hiding a Golden Ticket. The lucky customers that find the tickets will be able to exchange them at the till for their favourite item. Students will also receive an extra 20% off when showing UNiDAYS or Student Beans at the till between 24th-27th September.

While Lucy & Yak stores carry a dedicated PreLoved rail year-round, from 24th-27th September the whole store experience will be transformed, with a much larger, expanded PreLoved section. Shoppers can check out The Big PreLoved Sale at shops in: Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Canterbury, Chester, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, London, Manchester, Norwich, Nottingham, Sheffield, Portsmouth & Yorkshire.
The event is part of Lucy & Yak’s broader commitment to keeping more clothes in circulation, which also includes its (Im)Perfect sales, a Facebook Marketplace for buying, selling and swapping, and Re:Yak workshops held throughout the year – community sessions that help people mend and customise their clothing. Customers can bring in and return their old Yaks, and once processed will receive a voucher of up to £25 to put towards their next purchase. Damaged pieces are repaired or upcycled by the Re:Yak Studio team in Yorkshire before being sold on in-store to find their new homes.
