Acorn Big Renters’ Meeting Tomorrow Night!
Acorn Renters’ Union Brighton are holding their Big Renters’ Meeting at 7pm tomorrow evening in The Friends Meeting House on Ship Street.
The meeting will give Brighton renters the chance to talk about the issues they face, and be involved in creating a list of minimum standards to demand from Brighton landlords.
This list of demands will then be delivered by the organisation to Brighton and Hove City Council, in an attempt to make sure that they are included in the council’s new ‘Good Landlord Scheme’.
Acorn UK is a renters’ union and anti-poverty organising group that offers advice and active support to tenants facing disputes with landlords. The organisation was founded in Bristol in 2015, and has since expanded across the country.
The meeting is free to attend, but you need to reserve your place via EventBrite.
