If you have some leg warmers and a sequin blazer, now could be the time to dust them off. An ’80s disco party is coming to Concorde 2, just in time for Christmas 2025. The event is set to take place on the 20th of December, with tickets on sale now.

Last Year the Show was a Sell-out

Last year, the show was a complete sellout. The disco is now returning once again, showing how much lasting appeal there is for the ’80s, especially for people in Brighton. This isn’t just a normal disco either, as it’s going to be festive-themed with smoke machines, mirror balls, and plenty of lights. It’s been confirmed that some of the music that is going to be played is Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode, and Wham! Other music includes Billy Idol, INXS, and Simple Minds. According to the promoter, you can expect glittery synths as well as dancefloor hits, so if you are in the mood for a throwback this December, you’ll want to pick up tickets as soon as you can.

1980s Culture is Making a Big Comeback

There is no denying the impact that the ’80s have had on our culture. In some ways, it’s coming back bigger and better than ever before as well.  We are seeing more retro-inspired games returning to our screens, with synthwave karaoke also experiencing a comeback. Games like Pac-Man Museum+ are also bringing back classic arcade games in new formats. Even games like bingo are attracting new audiences, with themed rooms like Disco Diva helping to pay homage to the era that made bingo big, and the dazzling mirror balls that made the 80s era so very special.

Outside of gaming, we are also seeing an ’80s resurgence in Hollywood. Highlander, a 1986 production, is currently being remade, with Henry Cavill set to step into the lead role as Conner MacLeod.  1987’s Predator was also a huge hit, with another installment for the movie franchise released in 2025.

The return of the ’80s is undeniable, and that is one of the reasons why ’80s events often sell out very quickly. This event is one night only and set to be the biggest ’80s party of the year. It’s taking place at the Concorde 2 in Brighton, which is being completely upgraded with decor and lighting effects to accommodate the glitzy event.

Tickets start at £19.70 with the event lasting for roughly two hours. The live band is going to be performing ’80s hits and disco tracks throughout the night, with the event very likely to sell out again this year. The venue can hold up to 600 people, but there is a chance that capacity will be scaled back to accommodate gear, and possibly a dance floor. As the Concorde 2 is said to be a premier live music venue for Brighton, and is continually listed as one of the best venues in the country, it’s certainly an exciting experience for those who want to let their hair down and really enjoy the 80s once again.
