MND Association patron, Kevin Sinfield is undertaking his fourth challenge in aid of the MND Association. He has been running seven ultra marathons over seven consecutive days, in seven locations across Britain and Ireland. There will be an extra mile in each challenge where members of the public will also be able to run alongside Kevin.

He will arrive at Brighton Beach Front by King Alfred Sports Centre circa 15.45. If you would like to attend just turn up to offer any support.

Money raised from the events will be split across several MND charities. Those are; MND Association, My Name’s Doddie Foundation, MND Ireland, Leeds Hospital Charity for the building of the Rob Burrow MND Centre for MND and the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

Kevin is aiming to raise £777,777. The number 7 is significant because it is the number of his friend Rob Burrow’s shirt when he played for Leeds Rhinos. Rob (also an Association patron) is living with MND and Kevin is fundraising because of his friend’s diagnosis.

Across their past three challenges, Kev and the team have raised in excess of £7.8 million for MND charities. On top of that, thousands have been inspired by Kev to do their own challenges, raising millions more to fund vital support for people affected by MND.

Vips attendees include Marcus Stewart sporting personality, former Ipswich and Sunderland footballer. Marcus is living with MND.

Zoe Ball will also be there– Radio and TV presenter and MND Association supporter. Zoe’s mother is an Association Visitor who visits and supports people living with MND and their families.
