Several new acts have been announced for round two of Together The People festival in Brighton.
Together The People Festival will take place in September 4th and 5th and will be hosted at Preston Park. Following on from the success from last years festival, TTP will return later this year bigger and better than ever.
Joining the already announced Brian Wilson will be Suede who will headline the Sunday night.
The legendary rock band from London will bring their Britpop sound to Preston Park and join the former Beach Boy who will be playing Pet Sounds live in this exclusive 50th anniversary show.
Also just announced are Nathaniel Rateliff and Peter Hook and the Light who will be playing classic New Order and Joy Division songs. The Horrors, Turin Brakes and Fickle Friends will all also be appearing throughout the weekend. See the full line up below.
TTP Festival also welcomes local acts and contributors, giving them the chance to play on the Soapbox stage across both days. As well as local music there are also food and craft beer stalls, street food and roaming children’s entertainers. The aim of the weekend is to celebrate music, food and community and ensure that there is entertainment for everyone.
The event is family friendly with no age limits. There are even children’s acts in the form of Lazy Town live, ensuring any little ones not so keen on The Beach Boys have something to do.
Last year the festival managed to raise over £2000 by recycling the wast generated over the weekend leading to a great donation to the homeless charity Brighton Housing Trust. If you ever needed an excuse to go to a festival, there you have it.
Taking place over two days across three stages, Together The People festival is a great excuse to indulge in live music and local culture. Tickets are available here.
