This year, 35+ Artists’ and Makers’ on 4 floors will be selling to the public on TWO consecutive days, the Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th of December – giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy an alternative to high street Christmas shopping and buy unique gifts directly from the artists/makers.

Beautiful handcrafted items will be on sale and you will have the opportunity to talk directly to the artists and makers and as well as being able to select some really individual and special gifts for Christmas, or just to indulge yourself…

Items displayed for sale include ceramics, textiles, fashion and accessories, children’s and baby wear; jewellery; paintings, illustrations, sculpture, greetings cards and stationery, tree decorations, stocking fillers and lots more…

While visiting New England House you can drop by Clarabee’s Cafe on the Level 3, to purchase hot/cold refreshments and quality homemade food and cakes.

At Brighton Journal, we believe in supporting local makers and artists instead of huge chains. In doing so you are not only supporting local creatives and the work they do, but you are also supporting your local economy by circulating money in a way that avoids the tax-avoiding black-hole of multinational business. And you can be sure that anything you buy here as a gift will be unique, so you’ll avoid the awkwardness of duplicate presents this Christmas.
