It was an odd feeling this morning when I realised I would be doing Bjournal’s ‘What’s On This Weekend’ on a Thursday. It was odd yet great because it means it’s a four-day weekend! There are quite a few things happening Easter weekend so here are our top picks.
Easter Eggsplorer: Borde Hill Garden clearly know that the way to people’s hearts is with a good egg pun. This weekend Borde Hill Garden will host a fantastic Easter trail for the kids to enjoy with their resident Easter Bunny. There will also be a host of daily activities including a petting zoo, magic and comedy shows, puppetry, balloon modelling and arts and crafts.
Easter Lunch: Head to the East Sussex National Hotel this Easter Sunday for a delicious three course meal. All children will also receive an Easter Egg, so what could be better?
Easter Family Funday: Pop to the Open Market this weekend for a family funday. Have your photo taken with the Easter Bunny or take part in the Chocolate Easter Egg hunt. There will also be a circus skills workshop and a face painter. The best part? It’s all free!
Easter Fires: For something a little more sophisticated this Easter, head to St Laurence Church in Falmer for a Christian inspired exhibition of contemporary art and poetry on the Easter theme. Enjoy works by Alison Milner Gulland, Ann D’arcy Hughes, Susan Skinner and many more.
Touro Easter Music Festival: This weekend Touro Brighton are hosting their Easter Music Festival. Enjoy authentic Brazilian food, drink and music all without leaving the city.
Happy Easter!
