ome great news for bus passengers in Brighton & Hove!

An offer that allows you to make short journeys around the city for just £1 is being extended.

Using funding from our Bus Service Improvement Plan, Brighton & Hove City Council is extending the offer until the end of March 2025 – it had been due to finish at the end of January.

Usually priced at £1.70, it means a quick trip to the local shop or to meet a friend for coffee is cheaper and more affordable for our residents and visitors.

You can check your local operator website to discover where you can get to for £1.

The offer is available through tap on tap off (where the operator provides this option) or directly from the driver through contactless card or cash purchase when boarding.

Councillor Trevor Muten, Cabinet member for Transport, Parking and Public Realm, said: “This is great news for bus passengers making short journeys around the city – especially anyone who wants to access local businesses and services, or to meet up with friends and family.

“Keeping bus travel as affordable as possible is very important to us. Working with local operators and using funding from our Bus Service Improvement Plan, we’ve been able to extend this offer into the spring.

“Travelling by bus is a quick and sustainable way to move around the city and benefits everyone.”
