Next weekend will see 1BTN bring a 48-hour, non stop beach party to Brighton’s Fortune of War. The two day long event, beginning 12pm on Friday 18th May and finishing 12pm Sunday 20th, will see a huge range of different artists and DJ’s come together for an enormous party on Brighton’s seafront.
1BTN, a local underground radio station, has compiled an amazing line up comprising of tons of the station’s favourite musicians and DJs, who will play all weekend, inside and out – weather permitting obviously. Expect an amazingly eclectic mix of genres, from funk to jazz, and hip-hop to house. Artists include Mercury Award Nomine – Ty, Jazz FM’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year – Ashley Henry, Abi Flynn, Nancy Noise, Kinfolk, Roots Garden Records and many more.
And if this stellar line up wasn’t enough to tempt you, there’s also a bar open throughout, and what’s more is that the whole weekend worth of music is completely free and un-ticketed, so you can turn up and enjoy as little or as much of it as you want, whether that’s just half an hour, or the full two days.
1BTN itself is a specialist independent radio station, broadcasting 24/7, not just in it’s home of Brighton and Hove but all over the world. In the past three years it has come to be regarded as one of the UK’s most widely respected independent radio stations, and boasts over 180 presenters.
