Vegan Bites will be closing on the 3rd of September.
The local non-profit community cafe is being forced to close its doors due to a rise in its business rates.
It has been open since 2009 and therefore serving the Brighton community delicious vegan food for 8 years.
They tried to petition against the rise in business rates which they believe ‘wreck’ independent high-street retailers, and although the petition garnered over 10,000 signatures they claim that it is ‘too late’ for them.
They still have a store in Chester but are looking to pop up in some pubs and bars. If you can’t wait for that you can still find tips and recipes from them at www.vbitesfoods.com

Good riddance to VBites. Perhaps the place can now return to what it was before. A fish & Chip shop.
