The most anticipated show of the summer at the Devonshire Park is finally opening this week, the brand-new revival of the Richard Harris comedy Stepping Out which opens at the Devonshire Park Theatre on 13 August ahead of a tour!
The cast features Strictly’s Karen Hauer and EastEnders Lucy Benjamin, Wendy Mae Brown (Waitress), Sophie-Louse Dann (The Girls), Felicity Duncan (The Death of Bunny Munro, Sky), Kerry Enright (Wicked), Devon-Elise Johnson (Half a Sixpence, West End, Titanic the Musical UK tour), Carli Norris (EastEnders), Ben Stock (Grease West End) and Laura Tyrer (Chicago).
Rehearsals have taken place in Eastbourne with the Devonshire Park creative team including Director Chris Jordan at the helm of this talented troupe to bring the laughs and the poignancy in this warmly uplifting tale of perseverance, trust, friendship and belonging. The creative team also includes Strictly choreographer Alan Burkitt, with Design by Julie Godfrey, Lighting by Ryan Tate and Sound Design from Charlie Tipler, Wardrobe by Shelley Claridge and the show is produced by Eastbourne Theatres Productions for Trafalgar Entertainment.
The cast and team have worked tirelessly to bring this production to life, with late nights at the rehearsal rooms, and hours of dance practice but always with a lot of laughs; this is sure to be a delightfully uplifting show which will inspire and engage audiences.
