Bonfire week, a Premier League Sunday and a full weekend of gigs: Brighton has plenty going on from Friday to Sunday. And here is our pick of the best. By Nick Staunton- Editor at large.
Fireworks
The big local display is Hove Sussex Cricket Fireworks Night at the County Ground on Eaton Road on Saturday. Gates open at 5pm and the display starts at around 7pm. Tickets must be booked in advance.
If you can’t wait until Saturday, Shoreham Harbour Club holds a free display on Friday, with food and drink from 4pm, a DJ from 5pm and fireworks at around 7:30pm. It’s open to non-members too.
Comedy and Theatre
On Sunday, the comedian Simon Brodkin brings his show Unleashed to the Brighton Dome Concert Hall, with tickets from £29.50.
For something lighter, Madam Lola’s Cabaret & Vaudeville runs on Friday and Saturday from 7pm, and the Volks hosts The Dolly Parton Experience on Friday night.
At the Theatre Royal, What’s Love Got To Do With It?, a tribute to Tina Turner, plays on Friday. The theatre’s new backstage tours also begin on Saturday.
One cancellation: The Signalman in the Cab Road Tunnel has been called off because of damage to the tunnel, and ticket holders will be refunded.
Music
The highlight is the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Brighton Dome on Saturday with My Homeland, part of its 2026/27 season. Tickets start at £10, which is excellent value for a world-class orchestra.
At the smaller venues, Lots of Hands and The Sundots play DUST on Friday, and NeverUnder plays The Prince Albert, with support from 5DN.
Nightlife
Concorde 2 has two big nights. On Friday, It’s A Jungle Out There features Coco Bryce and J:Kenzo, with free entry before midnight. On Saturday, it’s Nafe Smallz x Rift from 10:30pm.
Quarters has an Andy C day party on Saturday afternoon, which has a waiting list, followed by Groove Cartel with Archie Hamilton from 11pm. Down the coast at Saltdean, the Kuudos Sound System launch costs £5 in advance.
If you’d rather dance to something more familiar, Dance the Decades at the WaterBear runs from 5:30pm on Saturday, also with a waiting list. Old Skool Bingo is at the Horizon Club the same evening.
Football
Brighton & Hove Albion host Brentford at the Amex on Sunday, with kick-off at 2pm. Plan your journey early, as trains to Falmer get busy.
Remembrance Sunday
Sunday is also Remembrance Sunday, with services taking place across Brighton and Hove. Check the council’s website for times at your local memorial.
Families
The Brighton Dome’s free Family Day Take Part, produced by African Night Fever, takes place on Saturday. Sea Life Brighton on the seafront is a good rainy-day option.
Food and Drink
With bonfire season bringing colder evenings, it’s a good weekend for a long Sunday lunch in Kemptown or a pub crawl through the North Laine. For ideas, see our guide to restaurants in Brighton.
Brighton Local
Tickets for Benidorm The Reunion at the Brighton Centre go on sale at 12pm today, priced from £47.95. The show plays on 4 March 2027, and fans of the ITV sitcom will want to move quickly.
