With Brighton & Hove Albion’s rise to the premier league comes a need to have the best players they possibly can in order to prepare for the upcoming season.
With that being said, Brighton boss, Chris Hughton, is keen to sign the Liverpool defender, Joe Gomez, on one condition – Liverpool have to send him on loan first.
The 20 year old player joined Liverpool in June 2015 for the small fee of £3.5 million. Previously, he had played for Charlton but since then he’s played a total of ten times for the Northern team.
Having been linked to a loan move for the young defender, Hughton commented: “He’s a player that we’re definitely interested in”, before concluding “But he’s a Liverpool player and it will be Liverpool’s decision on whether they keep him there or whether they allow him to go out on loan”.
Looks like it’s all down to Liverpool as to whether the Albion will have a new defender come the new season…
