Chris Hughton looks set to complete his second signing in a week as young Fleetwood town full back Tyler Forbes looks set to join the Seagulls. Forbes who only turned 20 in March made his debut for Fleetwood in November 2014. The young defender enjoyed a strong campaign for the League 1 outfit last term making sixteen appearances from right back even registering two goals.
Forbes who can also play as a winger/wide player is expected to bolster the squad’s fringes providing competition for Bruno at right-back. It’s unlikely Forbes will come straight into the team but the young defender looks to be an excellent prospect for the future. The fee is believed to be five-figure in what could be an absolute coup for the Seagulls.
Forbes is believed to be a resilient young man, making his Fleetwood debut against Yeovil then at the age of 18 just days after the passing of his mother. Albion will be hoping acquiring a player of such mental strength will help improve their promotion credentials as they look to implement more sturdiness into the squad.
An official announcement is expected in the coming days with Albion looking to get the deal over the line as soon as possible.
