Marra Murphy has been selected as a a Grand Finalist for Eco Pageants UK who’s ethos is courage, beauty and sustainability. Marra holds a degree in Pharmacology and is currently working as a Senior Scientist for a pharmaceutical lab based in Brighton.
As part Marra’s pageant journey she has come up with her advocacy The Planet People Protection Act. This has involved attending different events and volunteer work within her community. Some of these include volunteering in beach cleans with GRAB, planting 405 trees with NatureLinks and planting 278 strawberry plants for a grow your own event. She has also launched her own campaign Queens go Green which involves girls completing an action that helps protect the environment. This helps raise awareness on the many different way people can get involved in helping protect the planet. Furthermore Marra is fundraising for Daisy Chain Charity who helps families affected by autism. The Grand finals will be held over two days where finalists will compete in different rounds which will be scored by a judging panel and the overall score will determine who will be crowned Ms Eco Pageants UK. The finals will take place on the 5th August at the Hilton East Midlands Hotel.
