The Brighton bike share fees will rise today for users of the service.
The scheme initiated back in 2017 and has proven popular with locals and tourists alike. Through an app users can pick up and drop off the iconic Brighton blue bikes at accessible points around the city.
The bike will now cost £1 to unlock, which was previously free. The 3p per minute charge will also now begin after the first minute instead of after 35 minutes.
It’s not just one-off users that will be affected by the charges as annual uses will now only be able to use the bike for free for 30 minutes a day, opposed to 60.
