Brighton Celebrity Daniel Wakeford Releases Single Celebrating the City

Brighton is occupied by a whole host of celebrities. From Zoella to Nick Cave, it’s not uncommon to see a famous face on the city’s streets. One such person attempting to establish himself amongst these figures is Daniel Wakeford.

The charismatic Wakeford came to prominence following his appearances on Channel 4’s The Undateables. He ingratiated himself into the hearts of millions through his positive outlook and confident approach to life despite his autism.

Since then, Wakeford has been seeking out a career in the music industry. Following his previous album The Songs of Gigs, Wakeford is now ready to take his musical career to the next level.

He has revealed a new single, the first to be released from his new album That’s How I See It. The track, titled It’s A Wonderful City, is an ode to Brighton, filmed at many of the iconic sites in the city such as the i360, Palace Pier and North Laines.

Wakeford is loved within the city and has shown his appreciation for the support he has received from locals.

While undoubtedly famous within the context of Brighton, Wakeford is beginning to broaden his appeal. Major musician Frank Turner is even a huge fan:

“The show I caught in London recently was an absolute delight, sheer joy and showmanship with wonderful songs.”

He will be touring from September, playing with his band The Daniel Wakeford Experience, with the tour culminating in a November show at Brighton venue The Haunt!
