Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday in a match that saw them drop points for the first time this Premier League season. The Gunners started strong, controlling the first half and taking the lead in the 38th minute through Kai Havertz, who chipped the ball over Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen after a brilliant setup by Bukayo Saka.

However, the game’s momentum shifted early in the second half when Declan Rice was sent off for a second yellow card after he delayed a quick free-kick by knocking the ball away. This left Arsenal with 10 men, and Brighton quickly capitalized on their numerical advantage. Joao Pedro equalized in the 58th minute, pouncing on a rebound after David Raya could only parry a shot from Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh.

Despite Brighton’s increased pressure, Arsenal managed to hold on for a point, although they missed several chances to regain the lead, including a crucial save by Verbruggen on Havertz late in the game. The result leaves Arsenal frustrated, especially with Rice set to miss the upcoming North London Derby due to his suspension.

Brighton played excellent well attacking football – well organsied and the new manager looks to have a good shape at early start of the season. After the previous managers departure they are playing attackimng and flwoing football and look to have a good season ahead.
