The midfielder was involved in 15 Premier League goals
Brighton and Hove Albion have tied down Pascal Gross on a contract that could see him stay until 2022.
The player only signed from German side Ingolstadt 04 last summer.
Despite this, Gross’ electric form in the 2017/18 season saw speculation arise around his future.
Albion will have ended any uncertainty for the time being though.
Gross was a pivotal member of the Brighton squad which secured safety last season.
He played all 38 league games for the club, scoring seven and assisting 8.
Given Albion’s relative struggles in goal scoring last season, Gross’ contributions were priceless to the clubs survival.
He ranks at second in terms of the percentage of goals a player was involved in for their club.
His 44% contribution to Albion’s goal scoring falls behind only Mohammed Salah’s 50%, putting Gross alongside the Premier League elites.
As a result of his several game changing performances, Gross was named Brighton and Hove Albion’s Player of the Season.
His workmanlike performances, and natural ability, have made the player a beloved member of the Albion community.
The club and its fans will be hoping to hold on to the scintillating midfielder for as long as they can.
