The Brighton Station Walk-in Centre, on Queen’s Road, will be extending their opening hours during Pride weekend. This will help with any added patients needed to be seen as well as taking pressure of Accident and Emergency services.
The surgery will stay open until 10pm on Friday 2nd August. On Saturday opening hours will be from 8am – 2am on Sunday. Opening again at 8am Sunday, the clinic will stay open until midnight.
Health Chiefs have encouraged people to use the walk-in centres services over this weekend. Not only will it take a vast workload of The Royal Sussex County hospital, but patients are thought to be seen quicker. It will also free up emergency services for those who are in crucial conditions and need it most.
This move comes as hundreds and thousands are predicted to be coming to Brighton this weekend for the Pride festivities. Whilst opening hours have been extended for Brighton Station walk-in centre, there will also be St John Ambulance volunteers in Preston Park to deal with people’s more immediate medical needs.
