Cult burger and steak restaurant, Burger & Beyond, is to open its newest site in Brighton, on Tuesday 14th July. The brand’s first restaurant outside of London, Burger & Beyond Brighton will open with a bang – with a city-wide scavenger hunt beginning on 9th July where 56 free meals can be won, and a soft launch that extends through July.
From 9th July, Burger & Beyond will hide 56 QR code stickers in some of Brighton’s most iconic locations. Each code, when scanned, entitles the first to find it to a free meal for two at the Brighton site, to be redeemed within the first month of opening – a nod to the restaurant’s location at 56 Ship Street in the Lanes. A map of the QR code locations will be published via the Burger & Beyond socials on 9th July. Those who miss out on the hunt can enjoy a 50% off soft launch from 14th to 17th July, and 30% off from 18th to 24th July (by reservation only).
The menu at Burger & Beyond Brighton will feature all of the classics – award-winning burgers that showcase dry-aged beef, rare-breed steaks and Americana-style sides. Think the Bacon Butter Burger, a signature patty with double American cheese, thin-cut pancetta bacon and burnt butter mayo, and the Hot Honey Burger – a fried chicken thigh topped with candied red chillies, hot honey, sriracha butter and ranch. Steaks, all served with roast bone marrow, will come from rare breed cattle and, from time to time, Galician Blonde and Wagyu specials will appear. Catering to the Brighton audience, vegan and vegetarian options will be plentiful – from Corn ribs with vegan nduja to the Oso Yaki burger, with a Symplicity patty and teriyaki sauce on a vegan bun.
Alongside signature shakes, housemade softs and a thoughtful list of beer and wine, cocktails will flow for the Brighton guests, with a menu of classics and some house pours. The B&B Punch features a secret blend of three rums, mango, pineapple, passion fruit and lime, whilst the Elderflower Hugo Spritz is a summer favourite – with elderflower liqueur, prosecco and soda.
Following an extensive search for the perfect space, Brighton’s opening is a homecoming of sorts for founders Craig Povoas and Tom Stock, who spent a vast portion of their childhood in the city. The opening continues a monumental few years for the group, who celebrated 10 years of trading in 2025, followed in the same year by the opening of a ‘counter’ concept in Manchester. In June 2026, Burger & Beyond were named as the UK’s best burger by the ‘Michelin Guide of burgers’, the Burger Dudes.
Burger & Beyond was founded in 2015 as a street food concept. Quickly gaining a cult following, the brand was able to expand its offering, and opened its first site in London’s Shoreditch in 2018, followed by Soho and Borough Yards in 2022. Burger & Beyond Brighton will be the group’s fourth restaurant, with ‘Counter’ concepts in food hall venues across London in St. Pauls, Camden Lock, Canary Wharf and Box Hall, and in Manchester’s House of Social.
Burger & Beyond Brighton will open on Tuesday 14th July at 56 Ship Street, Brighton, BN1 1AF. For more information please email [email protected].
