Be the first to see brand new material from over 40 comedians as they bring their work-in-progress shows to Komedia from the 7th June – 26th July, as part of their annual Edinburgh Fringe Preview Season. A chance to see big names and up-and-coming acts in the intimate setting of Komedia’s Studio.
Expect to enjoy a whole host of weird and wonderful, emotional and hilarious shows, from Elton John’s greatest hits reimagined to a deep dive into the warped world of Multi-Level Marketing brought to you by impressionists, character comedians, improvisers, musical comedians, drag acts, cabaret stars, and theatre makers.
Highlights include:
Alison Spittle ‘Fat B*tch’ on the 6th of July, in which she confronts misogyny, sexuality, classism, death and M&Ms in a hilarious and often angry show.
Hot comedy weirdo, as seen on Taskmaster, Celebrity Pointless, Celebrity Mastermind and House of Games, Sophie Duker rustles up a new hour of comedy fire on the 8th of July.
2023 Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Ahir Shah on the 9th of July, known for his sharp, intellectual brand of stand-up featuring a blend of philosophical inquiry, political vigour, and sweet gags.
Two evenings of Funny Women Edinburgh Previews. The 12th of July featuring award-winning comedian, actor, writer and artist Katie Pritchard, and star of Live at the Apollo and co-host of All Killa No Filla Rachel Fairburn and the 26th of July featuring co-host of wildly popular podcast ‘They Like to Watch’ Sara Barron and support for Ed Gamble and self-proclaimed football lout Chloe Petts.
Creator of seven five star rated Edinburgh fringe shows, Rob Auton, and multi-award-winning comedian, actor and Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer 2024, Joe Kent-Walters on the 15th of July.
Isobel Rogers and her guitar ask modern life’s essential questions from “Is there ever a right time to have a baby?” to “Are you your therapist’s favourite client?” and lots in between in ‘How to be Content’ on the 23rd of July.
Audiovisual Connoisseur as seen on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Jazz Emu, with ‘Perfect Work’, an hour of new musings and odes on the 25th of July.
