Australian folk-pop sister duo Charm of Finches will bring their spellbinding harmonies and dreamlike songwriting to Brighton’s Folklore Rooms on Thursday 20 February 2026, as part of their forthcoming UK tour.
Currently working towards their fifth studio album, Melbourne sisters Mabel and Ivy Windred-Wornes have become known for crafting intricate, emotionally rich songs that sit somewhere between chamber folk, indie pop, and haunting storytelling.
With their new single “Meteor” due for release on 14 November 2025, the duo are poised to share a fresh chapter of music inspired by their travels through the wild landscapes of Australia and New Zealand. The song, recorded by the ocean in Victoria and mixed in Canada, explores the power of nature as a mirror for inner transformation — an early glimpse of what’s to come from their next record.
Speaking about their return to the UK, Charm of Finches said:
“Since our last UK tour in 2024, we’ve travelled through some incredible parts of Australia and New Zealand — from the Daintree rainforest to volcanic peaks — and these places have shaped our new songs. We’re so looking forward to sharing them in spaces like Brighton’s Folklore Rooms, which really suit the intimacy and atmosphere of our music.”
Winners of the Australian Folk Music Award for Best Folk Album (2022) and Music Victoria’s Best Folk Act (2021), Charm of Finches have steadily built a devoted international following. Their 2024 album Marlinchen In The Snow — recorded in rural Nova Scotia with producer Daniel Ledwell (Jenn Grant, Good Lovelies) — drew praise for its delicate balance of melancholy and magic, taking cues from Grimm fairy tales and life on the road.
