Brighton doesn’t do quiet weekends — and this one is no exception. Whether you’re after live music, comedy, culture or just a reason to get out of the house, here’s what’s on across the city.
Friday 5 June
Kick the weekend off at Patterns on the seafront where Definitely Oasis return for another sold-out show — after eight previous Brighton gigs, they’re back with two hours of Oasis classics from 7pm. If you missed them before, don’t sleep on it again. Rolling Stone
Over at Ironworks Studios, there’s a live music night worth catching — a more intimate alternative if the tribute act crowd isn’t your scene. And for the drum and bass heads, Horizon Club is hosting a D&B night with exclusive free tickets available through Skiddle — worth grabbing while they last.
The British Engineerium opens its doors for an arts and culture event — one of Brighton’s most underrated venues and worth a visit for the building alone, never mind what’s inside.
Over on Southwick Beach, Carats Cafe is hosting global DJ sensation Smokin Jo — brought to you by Mikee Hollywood and David Da House. It’s an 18+ event and the kind of low-key seafront party that Brighton does better than anywhere.
Sunday 7 June
Brighton Dome Concert Hall has a family event on Sunday afternoon — ideal if you’ve got kids to entertain after a Saturday night that got away from you. The Dome is always worth the trip.
Komedia rounds out the weekend with a Sunday comedy night — the Secret Comedy Club at Artista Cafe and Gallery is also running this weekend, bringing six acts across three sections with drinks to match.
And if you just want to decompress, the seafront is free, the weather looks promising, and the Palace Pier isn’t going anywhere.
