Ok, so Easter is traditionally a time to head to church. But Smut Slam is turning that tradition on its head, hosting a wild evening of fast-paced storytelling and open mic based on real life, real lust, and real sex.
Smut Slammers who visit The Caroline of Brunswick on Sunday 16 April will be given five minutes to captivate the audience with their dirty story – which has to be based on real life! They also have the chance to win sexy special prize packages and an NJOY stainless-steel toy.
All the audience has to do is sit back and enjoy the filth – which will be judged by an as of yet secret celebrity panel.
The saucy event, founded and hosted by Cameryn Moore (pictured above) originated in Boston in 2011, became thoroughly established in Montreal that same year, and has since travelled all over North America and the UK, with standing-room-only shows everywhere from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to New York City. There are now nine monthly branches of Smut Slam in North America, and five in the UK, with more shows on their way.
Next month’s theme is “OH GOD, where stories involving religion, religious places, or just moments of heavenly bliss will all be welcomed with open arms. The rules are simple – no interrupting, no heckling, and no necking in the front row. Sorry, lovebirds.
Cameryn is super excited to bring Brighton and Smut Slam together. When not performing, the award-winning playwright and performer writes Sidewalk Smut: custom type-written pornography as street performance and literary art. She’s also a sex activist and educator with experience past experience working as a sex line operator. Very naughty.
