Undoubtedly two of the most colourful and spectacular events in anyone’s festival calendar, this year, Brighton Fringe and Brighton Festival offer an astonishing amount of amazing and creative things to see, do, and interact with.
Dubbed as England’s largest arts festival, you can truly submerge yourself in the sublime world of music, dance, theatre, film, art, literature, debate, and a plethora of outdoor family activities.
This eclectic celebration of all things original and creative runs until the 6th June so it’s not too late to join in with one of the most well known arts festivals in the world, and if you’re on a budget, there’s a whole host of free events to keep you and your little ones occupied, thrilled, and entertained day after day.
Well worth the time, and perhaps one of the most child friendly and interactive free events at the Brighton Fringe this year are the funnily creative Dilemma Girls. This year they are the glamorous hostesses for a new type of game show ‘Would You Rather’. Thriving on audience participation, this hilarious mobile game show invites you to actively join in with prizes awarded to the best contestants.
Colin Chadwick is yet another free Brighton Fringe Event which is a must see. Taking you on a comedic tour if his digital legacy while aiming to maybe prove the existence on an afterlife, this Irish funny man will have you thinking about your digital behaviour while having you almost crying with laughter.
Running until the 27th May, the Brighton festival has a total of twenty nine free to see events. Both The Doorways Project and Luminary are a must for any urban art lovers itinerary, while film buffs would do well to explore the Unlimited: Three Films Exhibition and Real Life Actually installation, both of which are a gripping look at life, death, and society.
