Free Show at Theatre Royal Brighton in Aid of Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice

Ahead of the wonderful production of The Snowman coming to Brighton later this month, Theatre Royal Brighton are holding a free event on Thursday 18 January with acclaimed English composer, conductor and pianist, Howard Blake OBE. There will also be a charity collection in aid of Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice.

With a career spanning more than 50 years and including more than 650 works there’s no shortage of amusing stories and witty anecdotes and very likely a tune or two. Howard Blake’s most successful work is the soundtrack for Channel 4’s 1982 film based upon the much loved book by Raymond Briggs, The Snowman including the song Walking in the Air. He is also responsible for the enchanting stage production of The Snowman which visits Theatre Royal Brighton from Wed 24 – Sun 28 January.
