Following two sell-out writing conferences in both 2016 and 2017, the much loved writing workshop will be back in 2018.

The event will consist of workshops with top authors including the Sunday Times bestseller of psychological thrillers ERIN KELLY – lauded as “a master at drip-feeding us the details, keeping us guessing about the truth” – The Guardian.

Alongside workshops will be a guaranteed opportunity to pitch your story to a literary agent or publisher in a one-to-one slot!

Sponsored by Writers’ Forum, a monthly magazine that aims at helping aspiring writers to reach their goals, and Mslexia, the groundbreaking magazine for women who write, full of debate, discussion, advice and inspiration for women looking to progress their writing careers.

The event will be taking place on March 17 2018 and is being created through the careful curation of organisers’ favourite authors and writing experts, across all genres, “we think it’s invaluable to learn from different parts of the creative writing world”.

Previous events have included the brilliant writer behind countless TV & Radio drama and comedies, Sue Teddern (Homefront, ITV; Cooking in a Bedsitter, Radio 4, Writing for TV and Radio, Bloomsbury), who talked scriptwriting … from creating strong SFX and stand-out visuals to knowing the market and crafting your single play or series.

Other workshops included the dissection of Pixar films for pointers towards the development of tight narrative arcs, three-act structures, narrative economy, motifs, emotional arcs, plot and subplot, alongside close workshops on developing your writing in the Crime genre with Chief Superintendent Graham Bartlett, retired and turned best-selling true crime author (Death Comes Knocking) and P.D. Viner (Last Winter of Dani Lancing) as they look at the ugliest things humans do to each other, explore how to write about death, darkness & deceit and shine a light on why crime outsells every other genre.

If you have an aptitude for storytelling and fancy throwing yourself into the deep end and developing your writing skills with this intensive workshop, then you can find out more and sign up here
