You’ve heard that right, 80’s horror is to be represented through it’s own game. Popular movie fanatics are going mad over the announcement of the release of Friday 13th: The Game. Taking on the role of teen Councillor for the first time ever, Jason Voorhees.
The game will feature a host of brutal kills and a first look at Jason models from Friday 13th part 8: Jason takes on Manhattan and Part 9: Jason goes to hell.
This game will be released on many platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. This third person, horror survival game has all you need and want from the original movies plus more. Asymmetrical multiplayer that casts one player as Jason and the rest as campers, will be released first thing with Friday 13th and single player to be announced at a later date.
Characters such as Tommy Jarvis portrayed by Thom Mathews will be a playable character. He will work alongside camp councilors as they fight to survive against Jason.
After starting a crowdfunder on Kickstarter they made over $800,000 after their original goal was $700,000. This made them able to include three more kills.
There are many gruesome slayings to be made, such as a poor camper gets her jaw torn off, just to name one example: not for the faint of heart.
Excitement is the word breathed through us horror fans right now, May 26th 2017. We’re waiting for you.
