Hove-based landscape designers Langlea have been shortlisted for two categories at the prestigious BALI National Landscape Awards 2025, the UK’s highest accolade for landscape design and construction.

The recognition reinforces Langlea’s reputation as one of the South East’s leading landscape design firms, having been an award or principal award winner 7 times since 2018.

The shortlisted projects are both located in Hove:

  • Intersecting Welcome (Front Garden Category) – A complete front-of-house transformation that turned a disjointed layout into a sleek, low-maintenance, and highly functional entrance space. Notable features include porcelain paving intersected with stainless steel, rusted steel planters, a sculptural water bowl, and a floating bench, combining contemporary style with practicality.

  • Intersecting Escape (Large Gardens, Swimming Pools & Hot Tubs Category) – A bold redesign of a previously fragmented rear garden, now a modern family space featuring a pool, outdoor kitchen, garden room, wildflower meadows, and sculptural floating benches. The garden’s sophisticated, angular porcelain detailing integrates seamlessly with the home’s architecture.

Speaking of the garden design, Mr Pelling, of Hove, said “The Langlea team brought a combination of inspirational and creative ideas to me which resulted in my dream garden turning out better than I could imagine.”

Langlea is a Brighton & Hove-based landscape design and build company specialising in architecturally integrated, contemporary gardens that balance form, function, and sustainability. Accomplished landscape gardeners, Langlea have won numerous awards including 7 BALI National Landscape Awards since 2018.

The winners of the BALI National Landscape Awards 2025 will be announced later this year.
