Look out for places like Pompoko or Hell’s Kitchen which offer a great range of grab and go food (or you can eat in). If you’re looking for something cheap, cheerful and healthy these are the places for you. Whether you’re a vegetarian, fussy eater or anything in-between there’ll definitely be something for you here.

With plenty of healthy choices, you only have to spend a little to get a lot when you’re shopping down the lanes. Why not try out a healthy falafel wrap that could set you back as little as £4?

If you veer out of the main lanes a little, it’s easy to stumble upon some exciting graffiti. Brighton has so much street art to offer with new pieces popping up constantly, this is a great way to see what the city has to offer without spending a single penny. If street art’s not your thing then why not have a browse of the local art galleries?

And if all else fails you can always just find a spot to nestle in with your ice cream and people watch. The lanes are full of people with eccentric and exciting styles, so is a great place to get some fashion inspiration! Or wait until (inevitably) a talented busker shows up to entertain the masses.
