A 19-year-old man is being held in custody after a teenager was stabbed in Mcdonald’s, London Road, yesterday evening (Tuesday 17th January).
Police were called to the fast food restaurant at 4:51 pm on Tuesday evening after calls reporting that a young man had been stabbed in full view of families eating their meals.
The 18-year-old victim is currently recovering from serious injuries at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
The suspect, who has not been named, was arrested in Brighton at 6:30 pm yesterday after police warned the public that a man armed with a knife was on the run.
He is being held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and is still being questioned by police.
