MeetUp is a site which is used all over the world. You can use it to set up your own group that people can join or you can search for an interest and join other people’s groups so you can Meet Up with like minded people!
Looking at Brighton’s Meet Up site you will find an abundance of casual football clubs, books clubs and yoga. Even naked yoga! But there is also a lot of other more obscure and interesting groups available for people here locally.

Dog Lovers Dating – In Hove there is a group to meet other singles who love dogs as an alternative to online dating! You don’t even need a dog to go, you just need to love dogs in order to join them for beach walks, coffee meets and fun adventures!
Philosophy In Pubs – This group is having a discussion on the topic ‘Does Being Alone Mean We Are Lonely?’. You don’t need any philosophical or academic background to join, just be curious and they meet on the third Sunday of every month at Palmeira Pub!
Brighton and Worthing Walk and Talk – This group is for people who have some spare time during the week to go on a usually 2 and a half hour walk. Helping people to socialise whether they work from home or otherwise. This upcoming meet up is named ‘Walk Talk and Swim’ which leads me to believe maybe they will be going swimming!
Brighton Role Playing Games – They host role playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons as seen on Stranger Things, and other games! Their sister group is Brighton Board Games who they sometimes co-host events with.
Guided Walking Tours In Brighton and Sussex – The reason this group has been picked up on is for its next meet up named ‘BAD Tour Brighton After Dark Murder Tour’ which is from 9pm and will teach you all about crime, ghosts, murder and punishments here in Brighton! No under 16’s allowed.
Law Of Attraction and Self Empowerment Workshop – This group which focuses on meditation and group discussion is dedicated to focusing good energy into getting anything you desire. Based on the idea that whatever you put out into the world you will get back.
Brighton Adventure Bugs – This group is for all those who are active and willing to work together with like minded people. Upcoming events include softball, an early morning rave, mountain biking, military fitness, and an adventure weekend!
