Celebrated French collective Nouvelle Vague are set to return to Brighton this autumn as part of their hotly anticipated 2025 Worldwide Tour, marking 21 years since the release of their iconic debut album. The group will perform live at CHALK, Brighton on Wednesday 26th November 2025, with Melanie Pain joining as special guest support.
The tour — spanning sixteen UK dates throughout November — will see Nouvelle Vague bring their signature blend of Bossa Nova rhythms and post-punk reinvention to audiences across the country, including two shows at London’s legendary KOKO. Known for transforming classics from Joy Division, The Clash, and Depeche Mode into sultry, sun-soaked reinterpretations, the band continues to captivate global audiences two decades on.
For their 2025 UK run, the group will feature two alternating pairs of lead vocalists. Melanie Pain and Phoebe Killdeer will front the first leg of shows, before Marine Quemere and Shanice Sloan take over for the latter dates — bringing their own distinct flair to each performance. While the core show remains consistent, fans can expect each singer to add her unique tone and energy, from Pain’s Parisian poise to Sloan’s soulful dynamism.
Brighton audiences can look forward to a night of timeless reimaginings, nostalgic sophistication, and cinematic elegance, with a setlist that celebrates Nouvelle Vague’s legacy while teasing material from their forthcoming guest-packed album, due for release in 2026.
