Pavers Shoes is bringing its full collection of comfort-led footwear to Brighton and Hove this month, with a new store opening at Mayberry Garden Centre on Thursday 21 May. The family-run retailer — one of the UK’s best-known specialists in comfort and wide-fit footwear — is marking the launch with a ballot box competition giving shoppers the chance to win a free pair of shoes every month for a year.

Customers visiting the new Brighton store over the next month can enter the giveaway in-store. The promotion runs through the opening period and is open to all shoppers, with one winner drawn to receive twelve pairs across the year — a thank-you, the company says, for the support of the local community.

A new addition to Brighton’s retail mix

The opening adds another familiar high-street name to Brighton and Hove’s growing roster of independent and family-run retailers, and arrives at a moment when Mayberry Garden Centre continues to broaden its mix beyond plants and outdoor living into wider lifestyle retail. The site offers easy parking and a steady weekend footfall — a practical fit for a footwear brand whose customer base values an unhurried in-store fitting experience over a high-street rush.

Shalim Miah, Area Manager at Pavers Shoes, said: “We are excited to be opening at Mayberry Garden Centre. As a family-run business, building a genuine connection with the local community is always important to us, and this location offers a great opportunity to do just that. We look forward to welcoming customers, both familiar faces and those discovering Pavers for the first time.”

“Our store will feature a wide range of footwear, including popular brands such as Skechers and Fly Flot, alongside our own collections, all carefully selected to deliver comfort, quality and the right fit for every customer.”

What’s in store

The Brighton store will carry a full men’s and women’s range, including sandals and lightweight espadrilles for the summer months, casual shoes, fashion trainers, wide-fit styles and a selection of accessories and everyday essentials. The emphasis, in keeping with Pavers’ wider proposition, is on combining comfort and style at accessible price points — a category that has driven steady growth for the brand and underpins its appeal to a Brighton shopper increasingly conscious of value in the current climate.

For Brighton and Hove residents, the launch adds another reason to head to Mayberry over the late-May bank holiday weekend, alongside the centre’s existing garden and homeware offerings. The store opens its doors on Thursday 21 May.
