Peter Serafinowicz is coming to Brighton. Due to huge demand, the comedian and actor has added a new date at Brighton Theatre Royal on Friday 16 April 2027, as his first-ever solo UK tour continues to grow.
Comedy Meets Technology
The Peter Serafinowicz Live Show asks a simple question: what happens when one of Britain’s most inventive comedians gets his hands on his own face-swap technology?
The answer is a night of his trademark absurd comedy, uncanny impersonations and a cast of extraordinary characters, all brought to life on stage using cutting-edge technology Serafinowicz developed himself. It promises to be unlike any stand-up show audiences have seen before.
A Comedy Shapeshifter
Serafinowicz has spent more than two decades as one of British comedy’s most distinctive voices. He played Pete in Shaun of the Dead, starred in cult sitcom Spaced and the science spoof Look Around You, and took the title role in Amazon’s superhero comedy The Tick. Film fans will also know his voice as Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
Online, he became a viral sensation with his dubbed “Sassy Trump” videos, and his business-guru character Brian Butterfield has built a devoted following. His knack for voices and characters makes him a natural fit for a show built around transformation.
What to Expect
Expect sharp, surreal humour, inventive impersonations and plenty of surprises as Serafinowicz uses technology to become someone else, and then someone else again, in front of a live audience. This is his first solo tour, so it is a rare chance to see him perform his own material on stage.
Brighton Local
Brighton Theatre Royal has a busy season ahead. Before Serafinowicz arrives, James B Partridge brings The Big Christmas Assembly to the venue this winter. Comedy fans can also catch political satirist Rosie Holt’s latest show in the city. For the latest on what’s on, see our guide to Brighton & Hove this week.
