Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on North Street, Brighton.
The assault involved two men, and occurred at around 1:50pm on Monday 22nd January.
The incident took place near to Paddy Power in North Street.
Although no injuries were reported, Neal Hudders (35) has been charged with affray, attempt wounding with intent and threatening a person with a knife in public. The man is of no fixed address. He has been arrested and remains in custody until his trial at Lewes Crown Court on 20 February.
Between December 2016 and November 2017, 353 crimes involving violence or sexual offence were reported in the East Brighton area. 310 incidents involving anti-social behaviour were reported, and only 7 incidents involving the possession of weapons.
