Prestigious project in Brighton shortlisted for RICS Awards

 One of Brighton’s most impressive recent building projects has been revealed as a finalist in the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Awards, South East 2024.

Sea Lanes, shortlisted in the Community Benefit Project category, will be judged by an expert judging panel.

Sea Lanes, the National Open Water Swimming Centre opened June 2023, transformed into a year-round hub for physical and mental wellbeing. At the heart of Sea Lanes is a 50m, 6 lane accessible outdoor swimming pool, supported by 19 local fitness, health and wellbeing, food, and beverage businesses.

The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction and infrastructure. They recognise outstanding achievement, teamwork and companies. The Heritage Project category in the South East is sponsored by Meldrum Group.

The entries are shortlisted across five categories – Residential Development, Community Benefit, Heritage, Public Sector, Refurbishment-Revitalisation. The Heritage Project category in the South East is sponsored by Meldrum Group.

Chair of the South East RICS Awards judging panel, Henry Russell, said: “It is inspiring to see such inspirational projects in the South East shortlisted for these awards. It is a true testament to the dedication of surveying professionals despite challenging times in recent years. I wish all of the projects the best of luck.”

Companies still have the opportunity to enter an additional six categories – to be judged nationally – and have until 26th April to submit their entry. Amongst the national categories is the new Ambassador of the Year Award category.
