This week Project 7, or Pro7ect is taking over the wonderful Hotel Pelirocco in Brighton in order to help musicians, producers and songwriters make their own collaborations. This is its third song writing and music production residency at the hotel, and is taking place until the 17th of March.

Those who have been accepted onto this exclusive retreat will have the incredible opportunity to work with the likes of Liam Howe, who has produced artists such as Marilyn Manson, Lana Del Rey, Adele, FKA twigs and Marina and the Diamonds as well as Bristol based producer Stew Jackson who has worked with the iconic Massive Attack. Ian Wallman, one of the Pro7ect ‘House Producers’ will also be there. Wallman is an Ivor Novello nominated producer-composer who has worked with Shakira, Calvin Harris, Michael Buble, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé.

The artists will be working in writing teams, sticking to tight deadlines and replicating the method that built the Brill Building, Motwn, Stax and other legendary song writing hothouses, all whilst staying at the Hotel Pelirocco. Of course, there is no better place to host Pro7ect as the Pelirocco calls itself ‘England’s most Rock’n’Roll establishment’, previously hosting the likes of the Happy Mondays, Primal Scream, New Order, Chrissie Hynde and the Chemical Brothers. The hotel is known for its 19 themed hotel rooms, live music venue and art gallery but this week there will be four pop up studios for the project.
