Posters and social media posts have been springing up across Brighton & Hove, Worthing and Sussex appealing for missing woman Georgina Gharsallah to return home. Georgina was last seen in Worthing on the morning of March 7th, now well over a month ago. She was last seen wearing a grey jacket with fur-lined hood and has shoulder length dark hair often worn in a top knot. According to the police appeal, Georgina is 5ft 2in, white with Arabian features and speaks Arabic among friends. She additionally has a ‘monroe’ piercing above her lip.
One of her sisters began the emotional video appeal by saying “Georgina if you’re watching please know that we’re so worried about you, we just want to know that you’re okay.” The last time Georgina Gharsallah was seen was in a shop on Clifton Road in Worthing in the morning of March 7th. Her family have said they are “appealing to members of the public, if they have seen her or heard from her at all if they could contact the police, no-one seems to have heard from her at all…just know that we love you so much and we just want to know that you’re safe “.
PC Emily Beck from Sussex Police said “It has been more than three weeks since she was last seen or spoken to any of her family or friends. This is unusual behaviour for her and we are urging anyone who sees her to encourage her to make contact with either us or her family so we know she is safe.” It is believed Georgina may either still be in Worthing or may have travelled from her home to Brighton or Rottingdean.
If you see Georgina call 999 immediately or if you have any information on her whereabouts and/or have seen her since March 7th, you can report online or call 101 with the reference number 603 of 17/03.
