The Andy Taylor Foundation is calling on cyclists of all abilities to lace up, saddle up and take on one of Britain’s most iconic routes this September, as the Ride With Andy fundraising challenge returns for its second year.
Taking place on Saturday 19th September 2026, the one-day road cycling event follows the route from Clapham Common in London to Brighton’s Madeira Drive — 54 miles that trace part of Andy Taylor’s own life journey and the creative mission that bears his name. Brighton, where Andy began his media career, provides the finish line and the backdrop for what promises to be a celebratory and community-spirited day.
The Foundation supports the creative stars of tomorrow, and every pound raised through Ride With Andy goes directly toward that mission.
A Ride for Everyone
Unlike many charity cycling events, Ride With Andy is deliberately inclusive. The 2026 edition welcomes beginners, experienced cyclists and e-bike riders alike, with full training support, fundraising advice and ride captains provided throughout the day. First aid and mechanical support will be on hand for the entire route, alongside pit-stops stocked with water and snacks.
Riders who took part in last year’s inaugural event described it as one of the most rewarding days of their year. For those who missed it, this is the chance to join a growing community of people pedalling for a cause that matters.
The Details
The entry fee is £50 per rider, with a minimum sponsorship pledge of £150 required. The Foundation can help each rider set up their own Crowdfunder page, linked directly to the main Ride With Andy campaign. Riders must be aged 18 or over.
Entry includes ride captains, first aid and mechanical support throughout, pre-ride training plans and fundraising guidance, pit-stops with refreshments, rucksack transfer to the finish line and a celebratory drink on arrival at Madeira Drive.
Start times will be confirmed closer to the date. Travel to and from start and end points, accommodation, bike insurance and lunch are not included, though a pub stop is planned en route.
