Royal Pavilion lit up to celebrate The Seagulls first European season

To celebrate Brighton & Hove Albion FC qualifying for European football, the Royal Pavilion had their property lighted in blue and white and were extremely thrilled to commemorate the launch of a special-edition football shirt featuring the Royal Pavilion.

The new limited-edition Europa League shirt which celebrates the club’s achievements and the city’s culture, features a printed illustration of the Royal Pavilion and is made out of 100% recycled polyester.

The draw in Monaco revealed that Albion face Ajax, Marseille and AEK Athens in the Europa League.After finishing sixth in the Premiere league last season Brighton have qualified for European football for the first time in their history.

The Albion will play three home games and three away games from September to December, with group winners qualifying for the next stage in the Spring.

CEO of Brighton & Hove Museums Hedley Swain said: “We’re excited for the Albion in their first European campaign and we love the new-look limited edition shirt which features our beloved Royal Pavilion. So many fans are proud of both our fantastic football team and our wonderful iconic palace. It’s great to celebrate success together. We wish Albion every success in the Europa League and hope visiting fans will find time to visit the Royal Pavilion”
