It’s exactly a month until Christmas, and what better way to celebrate than to let you know that the Santa Bus is once again on the streets of Brighton and Hove. Kicking off tomorrow, the Santa Bus will be visiting areas across the city over seventeen days. The bus operates from around 5:30 until 8:30 on each day, and for the first time ever you can track the Santa bus on the interactive map on the Brighton and Hove buses website.

The Santa Bus will also be collecting money for The Martlets Hospice and The Argus Appeal, so be sure to give generously! The Martlets Hopsice cares for people affected by life limiting illness and plays a vital role in helping people to live life as fully as they can. The hospice is not part of the NHS, and over this financial year they have had to generate over £4.8million to ensure the continuation of the service. The Argus Appeal aims to provide funds for a number of benefits and causes for those in need. From disadvantaged children to the elderly, their aim is to raise a minimum of £200,000 each year. Most of the funds they raise are from sponsored events such as the annual three-day cycle ride across the South Downs, golf tournaments, charity dinners and of course, the Santa Bus. Both of these charities do so much for our community and the Santa Bus will be a real treat to get you and your children in the Christmas mood.
