This Sunday, the Open Market will be host to Paper Daisy’s Christmas Market Event for the first time!
If you are looking to get into the Christmas spirit, grab some new hand-made decorations, or bag some early gifts to relive the Boxing Day stress, then we recommend you take a trip to what promises to be a great event for all the family.
Organisers are also running a competition to win £50 to spend with Glitter and Gem on the day, so you could even be walking away with some freebies for yourself or for the stockings.
There will be a free Santa’s Grotto, Face painting, professional live music, Food, crafts, artists and designers alongside the usual traders- up to 100 local traders and Makers all under one roof!
We spoke to Bryony, one of the event’s key organisers, ahead of this Sunday’s festivities to get a sense of what the event would be about and why locals should make a visit:
“Our aim is bringing together some great local makers and traders for a real community experience. We have carefully selected traders to suit all budgets from stocking fillers to luxury items. We also have on offer street food, local professional musicians, face painting and Santa visiting in his Sleigh. Holding our first Christmas Market at Brighton Open Market enables the people of Brighton to support up to 100 local and original traders.”
