The University of Sussex’s ‘Help the Homeless Society’ are putting on a charity concert this Saturday (14th March), in the University’s Mandela Hall.
The concert will involve local homeless charities performing alongside student bands and local performers, and aims to celebrate the importance of creativity in tackling homelessness and helping to bring communities together.
Sussex Help the Homeless Society is a group of passionate, engaged students who work together with local charities and communities to make a difference to the lives of homeless people in Brighton.
They do this through volunteering, information campaigns, and social action projects. Although they have only been operating for just over 2 years, they have organised two big shoebox projects and countless fundraisers, including an annual sleep out.
Tickets can be purchased online via the Sussex Student Union’s website.
