BalletBoyz are back and head to Theatre Royal Brighton on 18 September with two fresh and exciting works, Them/Us.

BalletBoyz are known worldwide for their ground breaking live performances, films and TV appearances. Having created numerous documentaries and Channel 4 short films, this performing arts company aim to inspire and educate audiences wherever they go. This co-production, premiering this September, is set to original scores by world-class composers and ponders ideas surrounding where we see ourselves in relation to the “other”.

The first half of the show, Them, is the work of the company’s very own in house talent and is set to a score by emerging composer Charlotte Harding. A unique and creative choreographic process by the BalletBoyz dancers will take audiences through ideas of ‘Them’. Each dancers own individuality will be explored through the versatility of their movements.

Us is inspired by the critically acclaimed Christopher Wheeldon duet featured in the company’s last show, Fourteen Days. An extended score by cult singer/songwriter, Keaton Henson will feature in the second half of this performance. Us focuses on human connection, and Christopher Wheeldon develops this new work which explores the possibilities of before, during and after.

Through contrasting scores, this two-part show cleverly depicts a divide between different sets of identities and roles in society. It encourages audiences to think about ourselves and explores the fine balance between them and us.
