A crowdfunding campaign for Amaze, aimed at supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across Sussex, has successfully reached its initial target.
Local charity Amaze is thrilled to announce the achievement of their goal for their crowdfunder campaign, “Amazing Futures,” which funds their youth work project supporting young people with SEND aged 14-25 in Brighton & Hove and East Sussex.
The “Amazing Futures” project aims to empower young people with SEND by helping them overcome societal barriers, fostering friendships, facilitating fun activities, exploring new experiences, learning, and embracing their true selves.
While the initial target has been met, the crowdfunding initiative now seeks to raise funds towards a stretch target of £20,000, welcoming further donations. Donors have the opportunity to claim rewards generously provided by businesses and organizations across Brighton and Hove and East Sussex, including i360 tickets, Amaze merchandise, family tickets to Drusillas Park, dual rider vouchers for Brighton Zip, tickets to Boulder Brighton, and more.
Sally Polanski, CEO of Amaze, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received thus far, emphasizing the transformative impact of providing young people with the opportunity to connect with their peers in a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment. Polanski highlighted the collaborative efforts of young people, staff, and volunteers with lived experience of SEND in developing the “Amazing Futures” project.
The crowdfunding campaign is set to close on May 28th, with a comprehensive list of available prizes accessible on the crowdfunding platform. Contributions, regardless of size, are instrumental in sustaining and potentially expanding this invaluable service, ensuring continued support for young people with additional needs in Sussex for years to come.
